The Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre appoints Marketing & PR agency, Jelly Digital Marketing

The Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre, Goring-By-Sea, Worthing, has appointed marketing and PR agency, Jelly Digital Marketing, to launch a local campaign to raise awareness of the centre’s pre-school nursery provision

It especially highlighting the provision it provides for children in West Sussex with special needs and from disadvantaged homes. The charity will raise awareness through various activities, including the distribution of fundraising, social media and local business involvement.

Michael Kay, Director of Partnerships & Fundraising for the charity says:

As Worthing’s ‘best kept secret’ we need to make more people aware of the valuable service provided by the centre to children throughout our catchment area. Children have attended from as far as Brighton to the east, Chichester to the west and Pulborough to the North. The appointment of Jelly Digital Marketing is vital to achieving this aim. Having met Jelly Digital Marketing’s Director, Suzanne Sullivan, through the Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce events, I was impressed by her immense enthusiasm and the passion that she brings to her work. With Suzanne’s extensive marketing and PR experience across a broad range of sectors, I am pleased to have Jelly Digital Marketing on board.

The centre needs to raise in excess of £150,000 to continue it’s free of charge provision and take on further staff so that it can open its doors to more children in need of its essential services. Every child has the right to play this is how a pre-school child learns. For children with physical and learning difficulties it is important to provide the best facilities adapted to their individual needs for their children to reach their optimum potential. The Children’s Centre aim is to extend its pre-school nursery provision to 50 weeks thus providing the parents continued support by giving them the much needed respite care.

I’m honoured to be involved with the Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre. They provide a much needed service to pre-school children in the community and yet, there is very little awareness of the how much they do. Public and business support is crucial to ensuring they can continue their valuable work. I look forward to getting the word out there in West Sussex to motivate people to get involved and help raise money for the centre through fundraising activities.

Babies and toddlers with special needs can be cared for from one month old. The centre have sensory rooms, which provides light, sound and touch simulation and has a calming influence. In addition to daily pre-school care, specialist groups for children with cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, co-ordination problems, multi-sensory loss and speech and language impairment, are held every week.

About the Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre:

The centre was opened in 1979 and was purpose built for pre-school children, from 1 month to 5 years, especially those with special needs. There are four Nursery groups and with a high staff ratio of highly trained nursery nurses ensuring each child receives individual attention. Every member of staff is trained in First Aid.
